The starting point
Udakishunganj.com launched as an English-language civic information site for Udakishunganj block in Madhepura district, covering the BDO office, ration cards, Anganwadi services and the panchayat directory.
The problem
Udakishunganj is an almost entirely Hindi-speaking area. An English-first homepage didn't match how the audience reads and searches, even though the content was accurate.
What we changed
We built a full Hindi version, using the three common local spellings of the place name (उदाकिशुनगंज, किशुनगंज, उदा किशुनगंज) in headings, meta descriptions and schema.org alternateName. Hindi content moved to the root domain, English to /en/, with hreflang tags, updated sitemaps and 301 redirects for every old URL.
The result
The default experience now matches the audience's language, the English version stays fully available, and no links were broken in the move.
